This awesome prefab home design idea is brought to you by Texas-based Ma Modular, a modern factory-built abode. Dubbed as Blue Crest, this prefab home idea has 1900 square foot area, comes in two modules includes three bedroom, two-and-a-half baths, a screened porch, garage, and a large deck as shown in the exterior picture above.
Blue Crest modern prefab home design was completed with reclaimed pine floor from a 100 year-old convent. The owners bought and stored these floors for about 10 years, waiting to put them in the new home. The home was about 80% complete in the factory and installed on the site in early February 2011, as filmed in this video by Jim Bruno.
The green prefab also has Durcon Elements counters with 10% post-consumer recycled content, bamboo floors with low-VOC Velvit oil finish, efficient windows by Gerkin, and stucco and Hardi siding.
